Guest Comments Here is a sample of the comments our guests have made: "We were very impressed with everything. We were amazed at all the amenities provided and the kitchen is a dream to cook in. The kids loved all the extras provided. All the dishes and pots/pans were in mint condition.
The binders with information on area attractions were very helpful. We did a boat tour and loved the state park with the gorge. There was one winery that gives kids grape juice in wine glasses and a snack.
We loved the view! The swing was a big hit with the kids and me; I couldn't resist and had to swing. We loved the canoes, roasting marshmallows on the great fire pit provided, and cooking out every night on the gas grill. The kids really enjoyed the toys, DVD’s and board games after swimming all day. They will have great childhood memories of the lake and cottage!"

"You did a great job of providing “extras” like paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, Kleenex, as well as the breakfast supplies. Your provisions were great and made our late afternoon arrival less worrisome. I brought a packet of “shake and pour” pancake mix, and with your provisions we didn’t have to go out shopping until Sunday!
We enjoyed reading the very comprehensive collection of flyers for all the local shops and activities. We made three trips to the Lakemont Creamery, one for
sandwiches and two for ice cream. The proprietor even invited each of
us behind the counter to watch the creation of our ice cream cones!
We liked the absence of TV, cable, Internet. We actually got to relax, read, play board games with the boys, and watch some videos that we selected from the Pick a Flick (the local video store). We enjoyed having the windows open all night to enjoy the breeze."

Not far from many things to do...Watkins Glen, wineries, trails to hike, kayaking in season. Lots to do at the cottage...movies, games, skipping the nice flat shale rocks across the lake...awakening to lovely sunrises...very nice."

"The cottage was extremely clean and well-kept. The area guides were excellent and we used them often. I appreciated that it was a non-smoking cottage and, though pets do stay there, that there were no traces of them.
