The sturdy drop-down stairs to the second floor are to the rear on the right. The stairs make the second floor best suited for kids and adults who are able to climb.
The new rug is a soft blend of jute and wool. The sofa and chairs are new, with two large ottomans to use as footstools or as coffee tables for board and card games.
Curl up next to the fire with a good book, a glass of wine from the vineyards down the road, play a game with your family, or just hang out with your friends.
Unlike many cottages, our living room does not center on a large TV. We prefer to look out at the lake or to enjoy the fire. Though we do not have a TV, we do have an LCD screen and computer with an assortment of family-friendly DVD's if you are in the mood for a movie.
On the
home page there is a picture of our kitchen and the other side of the living room.

All of the beds, pillows and bedding in each bedroom are brand new. The mattresses are firm.
Front bedroom upstairs facing lake. 3 twin beds. 2 of the twins can be attached ahead of time to make a king-sized bed. This is the best bedroom in the summer to open the windows and hear the waves as you go to sleep. Fully insulated so can be used in the fall as well.

In the distance you can see our parking area beyond the gray trellis, and beyond that the next cottage to the north (100 feet from our cottage). The lawn in the foreground (leafy at the moment) is perfect for pitching tents or the badminton net. The lawn in the middle is spacious for sun-bathing and gathering. Lawn chairs and picnic tables are provided.

Area Attractions" lists links to public launch sites nearby.
